My new year resolution for the year 2021 was “To make this year the most productive, the year of hustle, to become something, to be the best version of myself” and most importantly “To be independent”.

I started an online internship as a Front-end web developer and during that period I got to know about “Jadu Program” and it was the dream program I was looking for. I applied for it but, when I got to know about limited seats and only the best 50 would be chosen out of thousands of applications, I started doubting myself and thought I probably won’t make it. But, on January 28th, I got my acceptance email. That was the first achievement of the year for me. To be chosen as one of the top 50 people coming from all over the world is a huge accomplishment but, this doesn’t end here. It was the beginning of an exciting yet challenging journey with people who will become my lifelong mentors.

Today marks an end to my first week as a “Fellow at Jadu Full stack web development fellowship” and It was as exciting as it was supposed to be.

Here all what went down during the first week as a Fellow.

. Orientation — Introduction to the program

We had our virtual Orientation ceremony on 3rd Feb. With warm welcome by our amazing Mentors

Sir Saad Hamid, Sir Arsalan Khatak, and Ma’am Aaima Chishti.

They told us everything about what should we expect from the program and shared life advice from their valuable experiences.

· Curriculum walk through

We were guided in detail about our curriculum walk through in our second class of the week. Our mentor for the Technical skills sessions is Sir Arsalan Khatak. He explained everything in detail about the basics of How web works and categories of web development.

· Access to GitHub Org

Contributing to open is very important for a developer as it the practical proof of all the projects we do. Hence, we were guided on how we will contribute to open source projects by giving access to Github Org where we will contribute to open source projects. Apart from that, we learned about the developer tools we will be using.

· Setting up Discord Channel

The medium of communication we are using is Discord it is the most fun part as we interact with our fellows, building a network, helping each other, and learning new things from each other. As of now, we are a community that will do great things together.

This was all went down during the first week of the Jadu program and It’s getting exciting as we progress further I’m so ready for upcoming challenges and see myself progressing every week by learning and building something new.
